Atlas Winter Scarf

The Atlas Winter Scarf is the perfect modern accessory to add to your fall or winter wardrobe. This scarf was made with Lion Brand’s Basic Stitch Anti Pilling yarn in steel blue, turquoise heather, and white. The pattern is easy to customize, so you can use any yarn or hook size you choose by adjusting the stitch count and number of rows. I used a 4 mm hook with worsted weight yarn to have tighter stitches. Since the stitch is easy to do, you can work on it while watching tv or listening to the radio.

blo = back loop only

PATTERN NOTES

Instead of chaining 2 to begin a row, this pattern uses chain 1 and then hdc directly in the first stitch. If you prefer to use the chain 2, then count that as the first hdc and start with hdc blo in the next st. Each row should have 37 stitches (or the same number of stitches).

The first row of a color change is always regular hdc across. Alternating hdc with hdc blo begins on the 2nd row of that same color. If there’s only a single row of that color, then the whole row is regular hdc.
