Pink Pretty Crochet Baby Blanket

The body of the Pink Pretty Crochet Blanket is very easy to make because it uses one stitch, herringbone half double crochet. If you are not familiar with this stitch, you can find some great tutorials on Youtube. The blanket is very simple to showcase the lacy border which is #75 out of Edie Eckman’s book, Every Which Way Borders. I knew I wanted a blanket with this border, so it was made with this in mind. Even though the name is “Pink Pretty Crochet Baby Blanket,” you can make it in any color you choose.

BLANKET PATTERN

Ch. 108

Row 1: Sc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn (107 sts).

Row 2: Hhdc in each stich across, ch 1, turn (107 sts).

Row 3-90: Repeat row 2 for 88 rows.

Row 91: Sc in each st across, change color, ch1, turn (to begin border).

For the border, begin with a sc in each stitch around and 3 stitches in the corners. On the side, place 1 sc per row. In the end, you should have 91 sc on the side, 107 sc on the top and bottom, and 3 sc in each corner. Then, follow the pattern from the book for a lovely lace border.

Fasten off, weave in the ends, and enjoy 🙂
